It’s time

It is that day of the year you thought would never come. It was coming, but you chose to neglect it. It came and you were caught of guard. You were not prepared for it. You never wanted all the fun and good times to end. Deep down you know from tomorrow there would not be no more class, college, friends and soon it would be sought after that you take up and job and soon enough support yourself. What will remain are memories of the days spent in absolute freedom. What do remain with you are gifts, those that were handed down to you on your graduation day as graduation gift. It actually does not seem too much of a thing on that particular day. After your speech and all that you have to say about your teachers, friends and parents, after thanking all of them, they do present you with gifts, it is a norm to do so. It could be anything, from a pen to a mobile phone to books. It does not matter if or not it is a cheap gift or a high priced one. The price tag does not matter what matters is that you did actually thought about the gift part. It is actually the only thing that once you have it, and if good enough might even last enough for your lifetime. After a hard day in office you get home and just sit down to rewind and your eyes roll over the books that was gifted by your friend, that is enough to set you roll backing time and soon enough you will discover a new found energy in your body. That is why the wise always spend more time in pondering over what gift to present on a graduation day.
